Adsense Part 9 - Allowed Sites

Welcome to Part 9 of the Learn Adsense Course. In this part, you’ll learn about the Allowed Sites feature on Google Adsense. You’ll also learn how to use it.

Now, the Allowed Sites feature allows you to restrict what websites show your Adsense Ads. That way, you can stop people who plan on putting your ads on their site in order to click-fraud you so you get banned. Alternatively, you may change the options so that you allow all websites to display your ads, which is quite risky, but it can make you more money if others, for whatever reason, put your ads on.

As usual, to access the Allowed Sites feature, login to your Adsense account, go to Adsense Setup and then to Allowed Sites. You’ll have two options to choose from, “Allow any site to display ads for my account” or “Only allow certain sites to display ads for my account”. If you select the Allow any sites option, then there will be no filters placed and all clicks on all sites with your ads will be counted. If you select the allow only certain sites option, you’ll be given a big textarea where you can enter the URLs of all the sites where you are allowing ads to be shown. Once submitted, it should save the changes and you’re all done.

The Allowed Sites feature is a good feature to use if you don’t feel safe about everyone being able to display your ads.

Thank you for reading Part 9, we look forward to seeing you on Part 10.
