Adsense Part 7 - Competitive Ad Filter
Welcome to Part 7 of the Learn Adsense Course. In this part, you’ll learn all about the Competitive Ad Filter feature in Google Adsense.
Firstly, you need to know what it actually is. The Competitive Ad Filter is a feature that allows you to
block certain ads from being displayed on your website, by its URL. For example, if you have noticed low-paying ads on your website, or if there is something inappropriate or non-relevant, then you can stop it from being shown for your own benefit. It takes a couple of hours to update to stop them showing.
To get to this page, login to your Adsense account, and then go Adsense Setup, and then to Competitive Ad Filter. From this page, you’ll be able to input the URL’s of the ads you no longer want to display. You’ll find out an easy way how to get these URLs in a later part.
Now, this is a really good feature in Adsense. If you have been getting low-paying clicks, its a simple way on how to block some of them on being displayed. If they aren’t relevant, then it might get you more clicks on your ads because you will have removed these ads that you don’t want.
This is a feature that you certainly must use. Try to find a list of Made-For-Adsense websites on the internet and put that list into to. These MFA websites pay very low, so it best just to block them all. Unfortunately, you can only remove up to 200 URLs at the moment, they may choose to expand on this amount in future.
Thank you for reading Part 7. We look forward to seeing you on Part 8.
