Adsense Part 13 - Image Ads

Welcome to Part 13 of the Learn Adsense Course. In this part, you’ll learn about image ads on Adsense for Content and you’ll also learn whether to use them or not.

Image ads are an option you can choose when you create or edit an ad unit on Adsense for Content. You can select Text and Image, Text only or Image only. The most popular option is Text only.

Image ads don’t have as good CTR than Text ads generally because people normally detect them as an ad straight away, and you can’t blend them in as much as Text ads. They tend to stand out quite a bit on a site.

However, there is one positive of having Image ads being displayed on your website. It gives it more of a variety. People who constantly visit your site will know where the ads are and what is going to be displayed so they know not to click them, whereas if you use Image ads as well, you may find that you get more clicks because it is different to what they’ve seen.

In conclusion, you should use Image ads, but use Text ads as well. If you use both, you may find that it gives you some nice clicks because of the variety.

Thank you for reading Part 13. We look forward to seeing you on Part 14.
