Namepros - Taken Over?

Well if you’ve looked at Namepros today, you should have noticed that there has been a big change, mainly in the design. Instead of the nice-looking, blue design that everyone has got used to, there is now a bright, ugly looking change to the site, which doesn’t look anything near to how good it was.

Not only is the site very bright, but its completely full of advertisements, specifically to one website. Ricklatona.com. Like me, a lot of people didn’t know who this person was, but it seems that he seems a lot of websites at cheap prices, and has made a big name for himself in the domain industry.

Now, what I, and a lot of other people wanted to know is, why this change? Some people thought that Namepros had been taken over, and it certainly looks like it has. According to one of the main members on that forum though, this change is only a “sponsorship” from Rick and he hasn’t taken it over.

Rick Latona has a lot of money to spend, and lets just hope this isn’t just the start of a future-takeover, because if it is, he may not be as involved as the current owners.

Happy Easter from Site SEO!

I’d like to wish you all a Happy Easter!

Make sure you have fun, but don’t forget about your websites either!

We can only wonder how traffic is going to be today, especially for proxies. Hopefully those of you who count a lot of revenue will still continue to make decent money today despite everyone eating Easter Eggs…

AOL Buys Bebo

Another latest news post here.
Yes thats right, AOL has bought giant-website Bebo for $850 million. If you don’t know, Bebo is one of the biggest social website there is, its a place where people can talk to each other, share images etc… Basically its like MySpacel.

It was a bit of a shock that it was AOL who bought them, you would have expected it to be a more… internet-popular company like Microsoft or Google.

Good idea? It could be, it could actually help AOL get started on the internet business as they aren’t as popular as you think.

Only time will tell if it was a good move though.
