Do you need a website for Affiliate Marketing?

This is a big question that has been asked for a long long time. Some affiliates wonder whether making a website would benefit them or if it would just waste more of their time that could be spent on marketing their products.

Now, the simple answer to this question is yes.

If you’ve seen people who are making big money from Affiliate Marketing, you should see that most of them have a high quality website. The reason they have a website is because websites can provide more sales. If you can get your website to rank high in the Search Engines by creating unique and quality articles about the products you’re selling and various other things, you’ll get more traffic, and therefore, more sales.

You could probably get the same person to buy multiple products too because all of the products are in one place, whereas if you’re just advertising a plain affiliate link, the visitors can only really buy one product.

There you have the answer to a common question. If you don’t have a website, its time to go and get one now, and spend the time to make it professional and with good-quality articles.

How to protect your Affiliate Links

A lot of people know that it is easy to take out the affiliate link in a website. Now, for people using Affiliate Marketing as a method to make money, this can be really bad for your profits if your affiliate links are being changed or removed on the websites you advertise them on. Here are some methods on how you can protect these links so you can keep these sales.

1. META Refresh - You could make a page which uses a simple META refresh method to redirect the users to the link. That way, it will make it less easier to remove the link. However, sometimes Search Engines don’t like this.

2. Redirection Service - Alternatively, you could use a URL Redirection Service which will protect your URL. An example of this is tinyurl.com, which is one of the more popular ones of its kind.

3. Ad Tracking Service - You could use an ad tracking service. This will hide the affiliate link on the page you display it which will make it less easier to remove the link. Another advantage of this is that you can track the statistics that are coming in and out of your link.

4. Javascript Redirect - This is like a META Refresh, but you’re going to redirect via Javascript instead. This is like the same thing.

5. Use a script protection program. An example of this is one that we actually gave out on a previous Super Script Day. You can find this on Day 7.

There are 5 easy methods how you can stop commission fraud. This is very important because you could be losing sales from a silly thing like this.

Boost your Affiliate Commission!

Since Affiliate Programs are a really solid way of making solid cash, you’ll definately want to boost on your commission as soon as possible. If you read well and continue to follow the ideas below, you’ll definately see a rise in your commission.

1. Find the products - You need to research into the best products for you to sell. Spend some time looking into the range of products you can promote, and make sure they are relevant to your website. Not only do you need to know the products, but you need the best affiliate program. The one that pays out the most commission, and the one that is the most reliable.

2. Create free e-books - This may seem totally irrelevant to you, but it isn’t at all. Make some e-books that you’re sure that people would want and give them out for free on your website. The idea of this idea is that you collect the visitor’s e-mail address from it so that you can send out messages reminding them of the products you sell. You may want to e-mail people a lot of times because most people won’t purchase on the first e-mail. You could also create an online newsletter and advertise in that too.

3. Advertise via Pay-Per-Click programs - Yeah, this can be a good idea surprisingly. Just advertise on a program like Google Adwords and use your affiliate link, and wait for the commission to come rolling in hopefully (If your campaign is good).

4. Ask - You may not want to do this, but you could always try it. If you’re getting a decent amount of sales already, then you could ask your affiliate program if they could increase the commission that you get per sale. They may or may not do this, but if you are getting a decent amount of sales, I’m sure they wouldn’t want to lose you.

There are some basic ideas that you could do. They should all work (Except for number 4 in some cases) and will bring in more affiliate commission if you work hard.
