This advice should tell you about blog posting for money, and whether its a good idea or not.

Firstly, blog posting for money is very popular. There are ervices that manage this, such as BlogPayz. Another service is TLA, but that buys and sells links. People use it because its so easy to make money from it - All they have to do is publish a blog entry or a link and they get the money.

Advantages
The advantages of doing this is that its easy to make money from it, or if you’re an advertiser, its easy to get backlinks and traffic from it. It can help you improve your income a bit and give you a slight bit extra to spend on advertising or other things related to your website. If the service used is popular, you can do this a lot and make a lot of income from it!

Disadvantages
Search Engines will be on your back all the time. These sorts of services are easy to spot by Google and such, and if they do detect you as using it, you’ll probably be penalized in your SERP’s and maybe even your Pagerank lowered. Advertisers on these websites may then be less interested because of your punishment, and therefore you being left with a low website. Also, if you publish too many ads to try to make a lot of income, visitors may see it as spam and not return to your blog. If you were to use these services, you would really need to keep it to a minimum, or at least write a lot of content in your blog as well to keep some of your visitors.

Conclusion
In my opinion, you should stay away from selling links and blog posts from these types of websites, basically because you’ll suffer in the long run, even if you are making money from it now, the Search Engines will detect you, and you’ll have big problems when they do.

In that post, I recommended using Co-Op Networks. I also said that Search Engines didn’t particularly like using these, and thats the truth.

Although its a good way to build backlinks, I now strongly suggest not using one. For example, Site SEO was penalized lately, in SERP’s and in PageRank. The Pagerank went from PR2 to PR0 shortly after the latest update.

Use them at your own risk!

Okay okay, some of you might have heard of this tip before, but every webmaster needs to know this, and never ever forget it.

When creating a website, make it about a subject you know well, and something that you could write a lot about. I’ve come across a lot of people who are making websites for other reasons, such as because of high-paying keywords for PPC networks or because they are popular - or maybe even a worse reason. Because a friend is doing the same thing…

Making websites on high-paying niches like health when you know nothing about it is absolutely pointless. These niches are already saturated with unuseful information websites, so don’t carry on with them. If you know a lot about it, then fair enough, but please don’t make them even worse. You may have a problem getting traffic to it in the first place because nobody wants to go to a website where the information is copied from other websites, or the information is wrong or not-helpful.
