Affiliate Marketing is one of the most popular Monetizing methods on the internet. Affiliates simply put advertising links on websites and advertise and market their website or just advertise their link directly, in hope that users will follow these links and make a sign-up or purchase.

Affiliate Marketing can be very rewarding with a lot of hard work put in. There are people who make hundreds of dollars per day just with this method, but then again, there are a lot of people who can’t put in the time and effort into this and never actually get far in Affiliate Marketing, so if you are serious about this method, you’ll need to know some of the most common mistakes that affiliate marketers make.

1. Affiliate marketing involves advertising, obviously through the internet. The Search Engines help with this. What every affiliate has to do is to get the Search Engines on their side by studying SEO in detail. This way, they are able to know how to build a better website to use for their business. Quite a lot of affiliates don’t do that, and therefore, they suffer a huge disadvantages to those who do this.

2. The second is that affiliates make the mistake of putting loads of banners on their website without actually providing good detail on the product. The best way to get around this is to put a lot of detail WITH the banners. It is important for customers to know and understand the features of the products, and good content will help them do this.

3. The third is that there are affiliates who make the mistake of promoting just one or two products. Because of this, customers aren’t given a lot of choice. There is also the risk of receiving lower amounts of sales compared to having more options for customers to think about. It is always better to give them a better and more alternatives than to give them only one product.

4. The fourth is that there are affiliates who promote too many products (The opposite of the one above). As a result, customers can’t decide which to choose or just see right through you, and you lose out on a sale. It is good to give them only the best choices. This is because it gives them the option of which they think is best.

All in all, affiliates that are doomed to fail in this business are those who do not learn the basic mistakes that other affiliates have already seen and been through. You should know that there is no way to succeed in Affiliate Marketing by rushing, you have to take things one-at-a-time.

    I made this mistake when I first started out as well. My CTR was horrible!
