Smaller Search Engines - Yes or No?

Well we know everyone is busy concentrating on doing well on search engines like Google and the ocassional Yahoo! fan, but what about the smaller search engines? Is it worth spending time getting your website on the smaller search engines?

Well actually a lot of smaller search engines get their results from Google, so you may find you’re already indexed on these. If not however, submitting is a good idea. The more attention your site gets from anywhere is good because you are generating awareness, even if it is a few extra visitors on your site. Also, you never know, these smaller search engines could become the next Google!

However, some people aren’t use whether its actually worth the time. Little traffic can come from them, and think of how many small search engines there is. Some people may be too lazy to submit for these if they aren’t going to get results. You may be one of them.

In conclusion, you should submit to these because if you have a lot of free time, you can submit to them yourself and get that extra bit of traffic, whereas if you don’t have much free time, you can find a lot of services on the internet where companies will submit your website to, eg. 100,000 search engines for about $50 or so. Either way, you can still get your website on them. Everyone wants some more traffic here and there anyway.

Stumble it!
