Email Advertising

Email Advertising can be an interesting way to advertise your website or product. Mass emails can get a lot of traffic to it, and maybe even more sales. However, is it good to use it?

Email Advertising is good in the way that in can be sent to so many people in such a short amount of time. If sent out to a lot of people at once, it can be a quick way to get a lot of traffic short-term. If you send out the email to a targetted audience related to your content, then you may find more sales too, which could make a lot more money than you more-than-likely spent on sending the email out in the first place.

However, there are a few negatives of doing it. Firstly, there is a good chance that your email will just get buried underneath all of the other emails everyone else has and not give you much traffic at all, therefore being a waste of time. Moreover, you need to be careful who you send emails too. If you send out emails to people who haven’t opted in to receive the emails, you may be in a bit of trouble. Finally, some websites struggle to find emails about their niches. Although niches like proxies do well due to massive amounts of newsletters for it, some more unpopular niches can struggle to receive traffic from the newsletters they do send out.

In conclusion, email advertising should be used for popular niches such as proxies where there is a lot of interest and newsletters, whereas I recommend staying away from it for the less popular niches or else you may end up wasting your money, or your time.

Stumble it!

For anyone looking for a new marketing channel through which to advertise your blog, I invite you to check out PitchPanel, a site I recently launched.

I’m offering bloggers a free 125?25 banner ad to celebrate our launch. You can opt in to cost-per-click fees, but only if you want premium placement of your ad. Otherwise, just enter zero for your CPC bid and your ad will stay on the site at no cost.

I’m pulling a fair amount of blog-seeking traffic and seeing excellent click-through rates. Registration is quick and easy, so PitchPanel is a great way for bloggers with a limited budget to get the word out.
