Good Way To Make Backlinks

Now there are hundreds (And thousands) of ways of making backlinks, but this method is probably one of the best ways of achieving, and you have good skills at this already, then you can do it with ease.

The method I’m explaining about is creating website templates. If you create a website design, or a template for a popular software you know of (eg. Wordpress), you can easily force a linkback to your website in the template, and make it so its difficult to remove, or if you’re trusting, put it in the Terms of Use of the template so people cannot legally remove it.

If your template looks nice, a lot of people will probably want to use it, so if you know good places to advertise website designs and templates (Maybe even the forum of the software you created it for) then you’ll get popularity for creating such a nice design but you’ll also gain more backlinks, which can help in many aspects of the website, mainly for Search Engines.

Places where you could advertise are Namepros or Digital Point because you can give it away as a Freebie, and people on these main forums enjoy freebies, and since these forums are so popular, you’re sure to reach a large audience.

Is Pagerank Useless?

This is something that Google updates every 3-4 months. They update everybodys site whether they like it or not, and some people are really bothered about these updates and await the next one, while others just don’t care and let it pass. This post should explain whether Google Pagerank is actually useless or not.

Why is it useless?
I think some of the reasons for people thinking its useless is because it doesn’t particularly make much different in traffic and the positions in the Search Engines. If you search on Google, you’ll see that websites with low PageRank can rank higher than those with higher PageRank, so it doesn’t affect that. Most people don’t actually check the PageRank of the websites they’re about to visit too. Another reason I think is because some people think that Google is taking over the internet - and in one way, they’re right. They’re dominating the Search Engines (And forcing people what not to do to keep them high up in the Search Engines), they’re forcing people not to buy links from other websites and various other activities. People just don’t like companies taking over this much. Its mainly because of the huge budget they have, nobody can get anywhere near them.

Why isn’t it useless?
Well actually when selling websites, people prefer to buy websites with higher PageRank because it saves them the trouble of it and must already have a lot of backlinks, so the value of the domain may increase. Also, in some types of websites, these rely on PageRank, maybe for sales, maybe for proving SEO. Some of these may include directories, which really require PageRank to succeed.

Is It Useless?
In conclusion, I think that PageRank is slightly useless because it doesn’t actually affect the most important things on most sites such as traffic and SERP’s, but on the other hand, some niches really need it, so it must be slightly useful, especially in the sale of domains.

However, that doesn’t mean that you should take PageRank so seriously like its the most important thing in the world, but at the same time, don’t treat it as nothing or you’ll miss out.

PPC, CPM + PPP - Which is better?

Here are the three (Well two, One of them is new) popular methods of Advertisement Publishing.

Pay-Per-Click is programs such as Google Adsense. You get paid whenever someone clicks on the ads that you have placed. This is probably the most popular one. Payment given can vary depending on the niche of the website and of the publisher you are using.

Cost-Per-Mille is programs that gives you money per 1,000 times (impressions) that the banner is shown. Payment can range from $0.50 per 1,000 impressions to $5 per 1,000 impressions. This has to be the second most popular.

Pay-Per-Play is a new type of advertising created by Voice2Page. It pays you per 1,000 impressions (like CPM) but this time there is no visible ads on the page, only sound. So for example, every 3 minutes, your visitor will hear a small 5-second sound ad. Payments given for this can vary from $5 per 1,000 impressions to $14 per 1,000 impressions. Thats what they have promised anyway.

Now, lets compare which one is better.

Pay-Per-Click
Advantages

  • If the ad is relevant, it can get a lot of clicks
  • For some niche’s, it pays incredibly well
  • Really popular

Disadvantages

  • Ads are sometimes not at all relevant
  • Some niche’s pay real bad - eg. Proxies and Entertainment

Cost-Per-Mille
Advantages

  • No clicks required!
  • Great for websites with traffic

Disadvantages

  • Websites with little traffic will struggle
  • Payment can often be low
  • International traffic often not supported

Pay-Per-Play
Advantages

  • No visible ads to distract
  • Payment is promised to be high
  • Even counts if users have their sound turned off!

Disadvantages

  • Some users don’t like sound on websites
  • Nobody truely knows how good it is yet

So there are the advantages and disadvantages to these three types of programs. Its really difficult to actually say which one is better because each one will be better than the others on different types of sites. However, because of its popularity, I’d say that Pay-Per-Click was the best of the three because if ads are placed in good positions, it can be quite easy to make some money from them.
